 On August 9, 2012, William H. Kennedy interviewed Olavo de Carvalho, philosopher and President of the Inter-American Institute, on the topic of the need for philosophy in contemporary culture. Mr. de Carvalho also told Mr. Kennedy and his listeners what the Inter-American Institute's Philosophy Seminar is, and how it is different from ordinary academic philosophy courses.
